The Homie Campout

Grassroots New England Based Music Festival

For the 2024 Homie Collective Campout, this installation transformed the wooded camping entrance into a glowing, immersive gateway. Designed as both art and wayfinding, the illuminated towers and arch guided attendees into the forest while setting the tone for a more transportive, experience-driven environment.

Project Details

An illuminated entrance installation was designed to guide attendees into the wooded camping area, transforming a simple trailhead into a visually striking and immersive gateway. Acting as both functional wayfinding and experiential art, the piece established a clear geographic marker within the festival grounds.

The installation featured handcrafted, stained-glass–inspired towers and a glowing archway, using layered textures and internal lighting to create a dynamic day-to-night presence. Positioned at the threshold between open festival space and the forest, it introduced a sense of transition while enhancing the visual aesthetic of the festival that was otherwise lacking in this area.

Design Impact

• Established a clear geographic marker to orient attendees within the festival grounds • Enhanced the overall visual aesthetic of an otherwise underdeveloped area • Transformed a standard entrance into an immersive, art-driven gateway • Created a strong visual landmark that attracted foot traffic and engagement • Improved nighttime visibility and navigation through integrated lighting
